PatchRegistry is a free, community-built archive of military and service unit patches — and the stories behind them. It is a hobby project, free to use, with no ads and nothing for sale.
The home page is an interactive patch wall: a large pegboard covered in real unit patches that you can drag to explore, scroll to zoom, and click to pull a patch off the board and read its history — the unit, the era it was worn, and the deployment, det, or inside joke behind it. Every patch is researched and documented before it goes up.

I'm an active duty Marine, and everywhere the job has taken me — ready rooms, hangars, ships, shops, USOs, bases on the other side of the world — there were patches. Pinned to cork boards, sewn on flight jackets, traded over handshakes. Every one of them carried the humor, pride, and history of the people who wore it, and I always wished I could see them all in one place.
PatchRegistry is that place. Too many of these stories disappear into shoeboxes and estate sales. Here they get preserved — pinned to The Wall for anyone to explore, and for the people who lived them to bond over. Anyone can submit a patch from any unit, any branch, any era. Each one is reviewed, identified, and documented before it goes up.
Browsing the wall requires no account at all. Creating an account is entirely optional and only adds features — saving favorite patches to your own board, and submitting patches through the site instead of by email.
When you choose "Sign in with Google," we receive three things from your Google account: your name, your email address, and your profile picture. We use them for one purpose — to create and identify your account so your saved patches and submissions stay attached to you. Your email address is never shown publicly; you pick a separate display name that appears on the site. We do not sell this data, share it with advertisers, or use it for advertising of any kind.
You can request deletion of your account and everything attached to it at any time by emailing thepatchregistry@gmail.com. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
