VMAQ-2 "Playboys" — 64 Years of Can Do Easy

Marine Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron 2 (VMAQ-2), "Playboys" / "Death Jesters" · USMC · 1955-2019

Tracing its lineage to VMCJ-2, redesignated at MCAS Cherry Point in 1955, this squadron adopted the Playboy bunny and name with the magazine's permission the same year the publication launched. Flying the EA-6B Prowler in the electronic-warfare role, the "Playboys" logged nearly 500 combat sorties over Iraq during Desert Storm and later supported operations over Bosnia. Renamed the "Death Jesters" in 2000 yet never parting with the bunny insignia, VMAQ-2 flew the final deployment of any U.S. Marine Corps Prowler squadron before its deactivation on 8 March 2019. This patch marks 64 years of service under the squadron's motto, "Can Do Easy."
