8th Combat Training Squadron (8 CTS), Space Delta 8 · USSF · 2022-2025

Activated at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado on 8 February 2022 from the inactivated 50th Operations Support Squadron, the 8th Combat Training Squadron was the schoolhouse behind Space Delta 8's satellite communications and navigational warfare mission. Its instructors wrote the operations and training policy for more than 200 combat mission ready operators and four distinct DOD satellite constellations, certifying every crew that touched them. Never a flying unit, the squadron fought its war in orbit — through tactics development, engineering support, and crew force management. It stood down in an inactivation ceremony at Schriever on 4 June 2025, barely three years after its first formation.
